Kurtis Blow's sixth Mercury LP wasn't a pretty thing to behold. He tried everything from autobiographical material ("The Bronx") to b-boy narratives ("I'm Chillin'") and novelty cuts ("Magilla Gorilla"), but nothing clicked, either commercially or aesthetically.
