Carolyn Mark performed and recorded occasionally as
the Corn Sisters. Enthusiastic, off-the-cuff performances at CMJ and New Music West and in a gig opening for
Richard Buckner paved the way for
the Corn Sisters' 2000 debut album,
The Other Women, which captured a performance at Seattle's Hattie's Hat.
