JAX Society for Arts and Culture presents FOUR +; a day of Urban Arts with Local Artists from 4 unique art forms including DJ’s, MC’s, Break-Dancers and Graffiti Artists. The General Public is invited to join the Festivities for FREE (no entrance fee) and experience Live Performances, Interactive Workshops and an Intense Dance Competition in the heart of Downtown Calgary at Eau Claire Plaza (3rd Street & Riverfront Avenue S.W.) on Saturday, August 25, 2012 from 12pm to 10pm.
 
Jacqueline Steeves, President of the JAX Society Board, is excited to see the First Annual FOUR + event approaching swiftly. Steeves notes that “the organization has been working countless hours to finalize details and are very excited to be bringing in 4 International Artists to provide insight and education to Calgary’s Local and Emerging Talent.”
 
After partnering with Pulse Studios (Calgary’s Only Hip Hop Dance Studio) Four + will be showcasing Calgary’s best Hip Hop Dance Talent hosting an All-Ages All Styles Dance Competition. This will showcase 32 Dance Groups and will be judged by Internationally Acclaimed Dancers Kid David, Honey Rockwell and Sweepy. The competition will award the Best Dance Group with a $1000 CASH Prize to help them further their artistic career.
 
To close the evening Nyemiah Supreme will be coming straight to Calgary direct from New York City to perform for the crowd as well as offer a keynote speech to all those interested in learning about working in the music industry. Nyemiah has a strong background in the industry considering her young age of 22. She has performed as a backup dancer for the likes of Chris Brown and Lil’ Mama as well as been featured on Jim Jones hit single “Everybody Jones.” Four + is excited to Welcome this talented lady to the stage.
